Labour Day, also known as May Day International Labour Day, is celebrated in most countries around the world on the first day of May every year. The first Labour Day in the world was celebrated on 1 May 1890, when the working class in Europe and America took the lead in holding demonstrations and rallies to fight for their legitimate rights. Since then, working people around the world have rallied and marched on this day to celebrate and take public holidays.
